Losing a loved one is a profound experience, and for many, traditional grief support may not fully meet their emotional needs. Amber’s Wings’ Equine Grief Group offers a unique, compassionate, and experiential approach to healing through interactions with horses.
Our Equine-assisted grief support group is designed for children, teens, and families navigating loss. By working with horses in a calm, supportive environment, participants learn to process emotions, build resilience, and reconnect with themselves and others.
Horses are incredibly intuitive animals that respond to human emotions without judgment. Their ability to reflect our feelings creates a powerful therapeutic connection that helps:
Develop emotional awareness self-regulation
Build confidence and resilience through trust-based interactions
Process grief in a non-verbal, intuitive way
Experience unconditional support and connection
Each session incorporates hands-on, guided activities with horses, designed to support grief processing in a safe and nurturing setting.
This program is ideal for individuals who:
Have experienced loss of a parent, sibling, caregiver, or loved one
Are struggling with emotional regulation, isolation, or grief-related stress
Find comfort in non-traditional, hands-on therapeutic settings
Are open to learning and healing through horse interactions
